The Vichy Parent Club organizes after school enrichment to provide creative learning experiences beyond the normal school day. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment for students after school.

Transportation
Students are not monitored on the walk from their classroom to the location of the enrichment class (see below about kinders). Only students with sufficient maturity to walk to their enrichment class with limited adult supervision should participate in Vichy After School Enrichment (VASE). Please notify NVUSD aftercare if your child is registered for both VASE and NVUSD aftercare so they may assist with transportation as needed.
Kindergarten
NVUSD aftercare is available on campus to assist with drop off of your kinder student for after school enrichment during the time gap for early Vikings. Please contact them directly to arrange & confirm your kindergartener's schedule.
NVUSD After Care at Vichy

Registration and Cancellation
At the discretion of the instructor, classes may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met and refunds will be issued. For all other refund, cancellation, and transfer requests please log into the registration website to make your request or email [email protected] by the registration deadline. Make up classes are generally offered for unforeseen instructor absences.
Late Pick Up Policy
Students picked up late more than three times in one session are no longer eligible for VASE classes for the remainder of the school year. Refunds will not be issued.

Descriptions by Class
Monday: Farm 101 - Debby Weakley: Grades K-5 *** Starts Monday, Sept 11.
We are offering a class where students will meet different animals, you can pet them and socialize up close. Students will receive education regarding the animal, where they came from, what they eat, and how to provide care for each type of animal. They will build a souvenir with a photo of the students with each animal.Class size is limited to 20 students, first come basis. No refunds after the class begins as space is limited.
This will likely be something your child will always remember, hope you can join us!
Tuesday: Cooking, MINI Chefs with Guild: Grades 1-5 ** aftercare available until 5pm
MINI Chef's classes provide a space for children to explore their culinary creativity while learning food preparation skills that will set them up for success in the kitchen.
Delicious and healthy recipes are a key ingredient of every cooking class. We teach students how to chop, dice, peel, slice, wash, strain, core, bake, toast, whisk, fold and mix. Students will learn to read recipes and measure ingredients in a way that makes recipe preparation (and clean-up) easy and fun!
Cultural awareness is an important part of our program. We carefully select recipes that expose students to the foods and dishes of other countries. Our instructors share interesting facts about world cuisine and encourage students to share their own cultural food experiences with classmates.
No prior experience needed. Grades 1-5
Wednesday: Art class with Guild: Grades 1-5 ** aftercare available until 4pm
kid MAKERS is an after school art program where children can explore their creative side through a range of materials and techniques. Each day brings a new adventure in crafting, from sculpting and fiber art to painting, sewing and more!
Thursday : Stitches & Strings with Guild: Grades 1-5 ** aftercare available until 5pm
The Stitches and Strings series includes a range of projects like shibori dyeing, embroidery, punch needle and hand sewn felt creations.
Friday: Legos K-3: Mike Spee
Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects, designing and building as never before and exploring your craziest ideas.
Friday: Yoga: Summer Sempervirens: Grades 2-5:
Allowing kids to have fun and take care of each other thru creative yoga sequences, art projects, nature walks, encouraging talks and just time to be. We will explore all types of things like walking yoga, hula hoop making, AcroYoga, kindness card making, fitness yoga and the art of being still..
